Haven Farms offers private riding lessons for ages 4+.
We offer 30/60 minute lessons, Tuesdays and Saturdays, with both morning and afternoon availability.

Ages 4-7 | 30 min lesson | Private | $40
Ages 8+ | 60 min lesson | Private | $60
Ages 8+ | 60 min lesson | Group (2-4 riders) | $50 per rider
Details
The barn as always, will be available for you to arrive 15-20 min prior to your lesson time to get your horse groomed and tacked. (Beginner students will groom and tack their horse, with their trainer, as part of their lesson time. All riders must provide their own closed toed shoes (preferably boots) and their own helmet.

Weather cancellations are made at the discretion of Haven Farms to ensure the safety of clients and horses. If a lesson is canceled due to inclement weather, Haven Farms staff will reach out promptly to reschedule.
About Our Trainers
Anna Harshbarger is originally from Germany, Anna brings a wealth of experience and passion for equine care and training. With a professional degree as a "Pferdewirtin" (Professional Horseman) and a recent B.Sc. in Economics, Anna's dedication to horses and business acumen make her a valuable addition to our team. Anna's background includes working with Mustangs and Rescue horses at the Wild Horse Rescue Center and managing operations at Gut AmtmannScherf and
Gestüt Büttgerwald in Germany.
Her expertise in natural horsemanship and groundwork aligns perfectly with our commitment to ethical and compassionate horse care. Anna manages our facility, trains horses, oversees operations at Haven Farm.
Madelyn Foster is originally from Birmingham, Al and a recent graduate from Auburn University with a degree in equine science. Madelyn brings years of experience to the table with knowledge in English and western disciplines such as hunter/jumpers, reining and ranch riding, colt starting, and even some cow work. She has worked under professional horsemen such as cutting trainer Austin Shepard and reining trainer Casey Deary where she learned different training techniques and can apply them to horses and riders of any level or age. With her education and experience in training, Madelyn helps Haven Farms accomplish their goals of re-connection, restoration, and rest through riding, nature, and God.
